Information on Credits and Exams in Czech for Bilingual Students
Dear Students,
We would like to inform you about a tailored regime designed specifically for bilingual students for their Czech courses.
- 1st Year – Winter and Summer Semester – CZECH I. and II.
Students are awarded a credit (zápočet) for both semesters based on a certificate or school report in Czech or Slovak. Documents should be sent via email to the course guarantor (contact available in SIS). If no document is available, it is possible to contact the guarantor and arrange an individual solution. - 2nd Year – Winter Semester – CZECH III.
The same principle applies for awarding a credit (zápočet) in the winter semester of the second year. However, since CZECH III ends with a graded exam (zkouška) in general Czech, students must take especially the written part during the exam period of the respective academic year. The recommended time to take the exam is in the winter semester. Students are asked to monitor the listed dates in SIS and register in time. In case of questions, they may contact their teacher or the course guarantor. - 2nd Year – Summer Semester – CZECH IV.
Students attend midterms and obtain a credit (zápočet) at the end of the second year if they achieve a sufficient number of points. - 3rd Year – Winter and Summer Semester – CZECH V. and VI.
Students attend midterms. At the end of the winter semester of the third year, they obtain a credit (zápočet) based on sufficient point achievement. At the end of the summer semester, they obtain a credit (zápočet) again upon meeting the required number of points and take a final exam (zkouška) in medical Czech.
Thank you for your cooperation.
